  5.        This tree contains Frequently Asked Questions listing for various
  6.        topic areas.  Those listings contained in netfaqs comprise general
  7.        information, those in SGI are SGI-specific subjects.  All files
  8.        other than the DSO-faq file are avaiable via anonymous ftp.  the 
  9.        place where almost all the below were snarfed from is 
  10.        rtfm.mit.edu:pub/usenet/news.answers however this is by no means 
  11.        the only location where this, and stuff like it, can be found.  
  12.       
  13.        All files were snarfed on [i.e. are current as of] August 19, 1993.
  14.        We are working on replacing this currently old set of ascii 
  15.        text-format faqs with a set of ascii and html formats that will be 
  16.        current on an on-going basis.  Your patience IS appreciated.
